Today I'm stiff and sore some more.
The bruised arm is swollen and ugly, but willing to do more work with each passing day.
The knee is still swollen and "uncomfortably numb."

The chiropractor is taking excellent care of me. Yesterday I did some electro stimulation, a little ultrasound, several x-rays, and he tested my muscles, nerves and reactions.

He's going to want to keep a close eye on me and I'm comfortable and confident with that.

I'm going to discuss working with my boss tonight. If there are non-lifting, non-bending things I can do for the store on Friday, I will do so. I do want to try to work over the weekend. The good news is that getting a ride won't be a huge deal.

My car insurance does not cover rental of vehicle, but the other guy's insurance should. I don't think I'm going to bother to rent a car, since I don't really feel up to driving with the swollen knee just yet. I'm content to be a passenger. Many people have offered their time and vehicles, and I really truly appreciate it.

It is always so hard for me to ask for help without anything in return, particularly if there's nothing fun associated with it. (It always seems easier to say, "Come help me with this Fun Thing!") I am humbled by the outpouring of support and love from my friends and relatives.

I love you guys. All of you.
Thank you.

KC Peoples: I'm going to be dancing soon, in public as part of Troupe Duende's sets at Fringe Festival.[info]duendegrrl's Level 2 class that I'm in at Bella is going to do a choreography (La Camisa Nega - for those of you that might be familiar with it) around 8:30pm (ish) Saturday night July 25th.  Should be awesome.  Or at least that's what I'm going to keep telling myself.

I've never really been a nervous sort of person when it comes to talking to people (ala public speaking) I'm generally pretty loud and talkative, so having a crowd hasn't really bothered me before.  When I was younger I did some singing in junior high and high school - and not just as part of the choir (although I did that too).  But singing in public was always sort of nervewracking in a way just speaking wasn't.  Dancing in public - oh my - I'm not quite sure how I feel about it, but it's definitely on a higher scale than singing or speaking ever was.  But I love my costume (or at least the skirt) and I love the song, so it should be fun at the very least.

I know I haven't talked about it much here, but I've been taking her bellydance classes since January.  And before that she was giving me private lessons in November.  So, I feel like I've been doing pretty good, and it's about time that I prove to myself that I've learned something.

---
In other news, I've been listening A LOT to this new band Halestorm (see music signature). They're sort of Evanescence-like.  Rock band with female singer.  I'd heard their song on the radio (98.9 of all places - which almost never plays female vocals) "I Get Off" and the lead singer reminds me so much of Skin from the British ex-band of Skunk Anasie.  Most of the songs start slower, but rock out in the middle.  And if you don't like it at first when you listen to it - imagine a male singer with the same song/lyrics.  Rock/Metal fans place a whole different image on songs/bands with female vocals and they tend to get brushed off - but seriously, I can imagine the same songs coming from band like Cold, or RA or Crossfade.  Anyhow.

Also, on the music front. There's new Killswitch Engage.  Has anyone listened to it?

And also on the new music but completely not rock or metal, there's new Regina Spektor.  It's good.  When I'm done being obsessed with Halestorm, I'll probably put it on repeat for a while.

Curse you Build-A-Bear and you mailing lists! First you suck me in with your free beach towel with purchase promotion and now you have to taunt me with stuffed owls! Have some respect for a chic's weaknesses!
I'm hopeless... At this point I might as well just give into the fact I'm going to have to hang a shelf to put these critters on. Ok maybe the owl but only because I like owls but then that's it I'm cutting myself off for I need a collection of plush like I need vacation to Pumapunku in Bolivia...

Been in sort of a mental coma the past few days or maybe I've just been home too many days in a row. I think it started when I had to pack the toys and sort through things that were Austin's. My Mom has hung on to all these odds and ends things of his and when I come across them or see them I find them rather upsetting to the point I just really want them all gone. Only she won't part with anything like we cannot let it go for he might return one day.

Alright, I hope this is allowed- it may not leave much room for discussion, but I've been curious...

Has anyone seen this shirt anywhere?

I'm assuming it says, "I believe" - does anyone know what language it's in?

I appreciate it! : )

Right there is the enhanced, remixed, remastered, hi-def cover for our first Lifemeter comic! Repainted by the super-talented Bannister (who does all of our covers), this new printing can now be yours! This is the same book as before, but we've got a great new printer and this new cover to celebrate! As before, the book is still just $6 in the US and Canada, or $7 worldwide! Order in our store!

For those who have been asking, YES we plan on reprinting the Lifemeter 2 book, but it is a question of when as we are looking into new printing options. Since LM2 is a bigger book than LM1, it takes some extra care to bring into the world. And YES Lifemeter 3 is on the way! We'll post our cover and some previews in the not-too-distant future! Stay tuned...
