I've sort of been working on the glass this week in the household. The blue onion is now all in the hutch and the white serving pieces are going into the top part of the secretary desk.
I did up a inventory sheet on my computer of all the blue onion we are missing from breakage and this weekend I started aggressively hunting down the missing pieces. Which is no simple thing when your matching up trademarks but restoring the blue onion dishes back to 8 settings is my winter project I have taken on. I did find 3 of the dinner plates and snagged those up so that's one less thing to look for.
Yes, I secretly obsess over dishes and collect things most people could care less about but I love how all the blue looks when it comes together...

1st mission complete

Thursday - Managed to hit all three Thanksgivings in about four hours. I think we did a good job, and we were only planning to hit two, but decided to surprise my dad and step-mom on our way home. We had to go pretty much right passed their house to go home, so it seemed like a good idea. Then, we had a nice night with friends playing the new Super Mario Bros. Wii game. 4 players is hard work.

Friday - This is the first time in ever that I've bought Matt's present the day after Christmas. He already knows what it is, because I didn't want to spend the money without telling him. I hate leaving the house on Black Friday, so I'm happy to have found something good online. Amazon is awesome.
